Greetings! Today I created a petition on change.org. I have realized that not enough money gets put into brain tumor research. After a bit of digging, I found that many brain tumor foundations only put 15-20% of the millions of dollars they raise into actual research.

Studies done recently at University of Southern California have shown that short-term fasting actually makes brain tumor cells more vulnerable to chemotherapy and also protects the healthy cells from being destroyed during the treatment.

Vaccine Targets Malignant Brain Tumors and Lengthens Survival

An experiment done at Cedars-Sinai proved to double the median survival period of patients with malignant brain tumors. The median survival time in Phase I is 14.6 months. This experiment increased that time to 38.4 months. That is almost three times the amount.

Potential Drug Discovered for Glioblastoma Multiforme

A*STAR scientists, based out of Singapore, have discovered a indicator, called a biomarker, for the glioblastoma multiforme. It is one of the most lethal brain cancers found in adults. Targeting this biomarker and attacking it with a possible drug made it known that scientists could be able to predict the relapse of the brain and prevent its progression.
