These vaccines do not work like flu vaccines. They do not prevent you from having a brain tumor. But they do help target the cancer cells and use your own body cells to attack the cancer cells.
These vaccines are going to target the brain tumor cells and work on destroying them. Vaccines boost your immune system to better help attack the cancer cells.
In this case, the vaccine was given to her by Dr. Keith Black at Cedars-Sinai. The funny thing about this is my father actually went to Dr. Black when my sister first had her brain tumor, back in 1993. I am currently trying to get a hold of him to do an interview. I hope I will be able to do that soon and be able to share it with you all.
