There is a immunotherapy vaccine that uses peptitdes. Normally used on adults for gliomas. Now, there is a trial going on to use that vaccine for children with brain stem gliomas, cerebral high-grade gliomas, or recurrent gliomas.
According to the trials, the children tolerated the immunotherapy well. The trials are led by Dr. Ian Pollack, from the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Brain Care Institute.
